That Surfer should be great in Lake Michigan - as for the ball gears, I
am sure Lee or Glenn will direct you to a source - but I wouldn't worry
too much about them until they are about 1/3 worn through - I have run
them worse than that by far and never had the ball gears let go - in
fact the only problem I ever had was the intermediate housing drive
shaft breaking - it was a sinking feeling to hear the gear and end of
the shaft "plop" into the water when I lifted the drive - didn't help
that it was 2 in the morning on a remote stretch of the Wolf river in
Wisconsin - Ah yes, boating! Dave
