Your option at this point is to pull the drive off - then separate the
upper housing from the lower unit - then make sure when you open the
lower unit that you are very careful - you need to find the electrical
wire to the electro magnet - take a small pick and carefully pull the
wire down through the lower unit - once done you can then pull the
electro magnet - many people have pulled the magnet and cut the wire off
doing so - and what is left is too small to re-attach the wire to - and
if you think hen's teeth are hard to find just try finding a reasonably
priced magnet. - I am at a loss as to what would bind the prop shaft up
- only the springs on the electro magnet can grab the prop shaft - I
suspect that when you separate the upper and lower you will find the
lower will turn ok - and that the upper is the problem??? gears bound
by gear chips can do it. Dave
