We would love to see pictures of your boat with the floor and stringer removed!! TideRider's are cool!

Thanks for sharing your info on replacing the OEM "POS" with TruCourse.

You are further PROOF that it's not that difficult to do. I'll have to look at my Sportsman TruCourse cable part number to figure out it's length. Last two digits are always the length.

According to the OMC online parts catalog some TruCourse cable sizes are STILL AVAILABLE from BRP/OMC. But MSLP on a 15 ft (OMC Part no 0979915) is a whopping $799.50 !!

Have you had a chance to compare it against the OEM steering?

I have a 19' TideRider--the 18 cable is a close (but correct) fit.

I have everything out of the boat (including the floor and stringers) at the moment--so I don't have any good pics to pass along. I took out the cable system and just did some minor machining (to match) the tru course pulleys to the pulley stuff.
The intermediate housing parts mated right up once I took off the 'bobbin' (for lack of a better term)

Just hope to be able to keep the tru course cable properly lubricated so it will last awhile---Don't think I will ever get another deal like I got on it (Paid $65 with shipping on ebay for the part used)
