I would definitely go with a SBC the newer the better.

While either a V6 Buick, V8 Buick or small-block Chevy would physically bolt-into the Rogue II, I agree it would run (I'm guessing here) approximately $1200 to $1800 to properly crate the long-block, ship and insure delivery to Europe.

I would think you might be able to locate a MARINE-ized small block Chevy V8 already in Europe? Does you Rogue have the intermediate case or sterndrive or do you need the entire power package? Figure on doubling the shipping costs to also send the sterndrive unit.

At this point I will consider almost anything. As the Rogue II originally had a V8 I'm not sure you'd be interested in V6 parts or if the engine mounts are the same. I know from experience that engine part shipment to Europe can be prohibitively expensive.

      Hi Glenn

Sorry to see that you are selling the engine as local pickup only - I just purchased an Evinrude Rogue II from 1969 without engine. I suppose that not even the thought of your engine having a completely new ( and loving ) life in a reconstructed OMC boat in Denmark will make you change your mind J

OK – no more funny stuff - I will just let you know that I am interested in the engine mount if you decide to sell in parts (and will ship to Denmark).

      Sincerely

        Hello Group!

I'm listing this engine one last time, hope someone can use it, if it doesn't sell I'll scrap it.
I'm moving and have nowhere to store it as much as I'd like to keep it.
