Thanks Lee - I guess I will go into it this winter when I can take the
engine out again and tidy up things in the bilge! The ball gears have the
plugs at the ends. It doesn't leak enough to worry about really. Good luck
with your trailer - I have put my tire search on hold again. Someday I will
solve that problem. I had a Little Dude trailer on my other boat and gave it
away when I bought the new trailer which is on my everyday boat. The Little
Dude just did not compare to the Evinrude trailer. I have a nice aluminum
trailer that is maintainance free (almost). I figure that you should
minimize problems so that you can spend time boating. You might try ebay to
sell your trailer. Good luck. Tom K
