haha - sorry......with a zillion parts,  i wrongfully assumed this one  
would be instantly recognizable by someone out there.    It was  
attached to the underside of my dash.    I am doing a major dash/gauge/ 
wiring overhaul.    part number looks like 098991 ?       It's a metal  
shell that seems to be filled with porcelain.     Had to little pins  
sticking out the side.   One says 6 cyl   the other 8 cyl.          It  
was barely attached / wired.    i think only one or two of the 4 wires  
were actually connected to anything.      has a green, white, black,  
and red wire.       voltage regulator?    my wiring diagrams show a  
voltage regulator but imply it should be back by the engine  
somewhere.   i can't find it.   maybe this is it?
