Thanks for the reply...great site you have. They are Holley carbs on this inline 4, and appear to be original. A little concerned as to safety, as float chamber on one overflowed onto manifold as I was running it yesterday on test. A lot seems to be riding on that ballcheck valve. Float was ok. What history of fires with these boats?

  Are you sure those are Holleys? Usually they were Rochester single barrels.

  I recently aquired this project boat in rough shape, and have been able to get it started. Biggest problem seems to be in carburetors...for some reason the design called for dual single-barrel Hollys. It will be a trial and error chore to get them synced and figure out the choke mechanism.
