RE: [omc-boats] impeller

Is this easily accessible? I would think it would be mentioned in the OMC
manual. I just replaced the head gasket and Iím sure this was the cause of
it. Do I need to pick up any gaskets or oil to do this job? Iíve never
been in the sterndrive. Anyone have and pictures?

You are correct. There is an impeller in the strendrive (leg) unit. It picks
up fresh water from the inlet just behind the prop.

If it ain't doing it's job, then the water pump on the motor doesn't do much
good.

Is the water pump on the engine the only pump? I was under the impression
there was an impeller besides the water pump.
