I have one on the other Rogue which is in storage. I could not find tires
for it so I put it up.. I have seen some around on the web site and it is
probably simply a matter of resizing the hubs or rims. I have 3 tires that
are still usable but I would not trust them too far. That to me is the
achilles heel of that trailer and it may be a simple matter to fix but
beyond my skills today and there is not much I am not willing to tackle. I
will work on restoring the trailer last. I think the smaller trailer uses a
different size tire too. They are incredibly overbuilt, really just like the
boats. Can you imagine disc brakes on a boat trailer in 1969! They were
designed to load and unload at the water's edge - like a dummy I used to
back mine fully into the water to unload and load. The wheel bearings
tolerated that mistreatment well. I couldn't figure out why the tail light
design didn't short out! I put submersible round trailer lights in the
holes. I think you can still get the original design Grote tail lights.
I could go on forever about the trailer. The gray rollers may be hard to
find. Mine have flattened with age. Black rollers would discolor your
gelcoat. I bet the "clear" polylurethane ones would work. I would make sure
they are rolling smoothly before trying to lug that heavy boat onto the
trailer. I took the brake calipers (Kelsey -Hayes) off long ago and still
have them in a box. They and the slave cylinder probably need a honing. I
have an original manual that was issued with my trailer and it lists 2 sizes
of that trailer. Of course I never read it till after "retiring" the
trailer. I really didn't know I had it till I stumbled across it years
later. I have had the boat over 20 years now. I would copy the manual for
you if you like . Email me an address to send to if needed. Maybe Ken Cook
has a few lying around. Tom
