ray, if you look closely at the mounting of your engine and outdrive, you
will see that the transom is very thin and does not support the weight of the
engine and outdrive.you will have to reinforce the area where you mount the
kicker.sail boats use some specialized brackets to mount kickers. usually not over
9.9hp.if you do not go offshore, a trolling motor will get you to shore, if
you are in a lake or a river. i have thought about mounting one for tooling
around in the shallow water with my 67 Johnson reveler. hope this helps, see ya
