I have a 1970 Evinrude Explorer with what I think is a tilt motor that needs service. I tried to remove the tilt motor and the 2 bolts that run through it, but it can't be removed where it's located due to space restrictions. Does anybody have any tips? I can't believe I would have to remove the whole engine and outdrive to get to the tilt motor.
