Get a Seloc Manual. The impeller is an easy fix once you dive in. Take your
time and use plenty of liquid wrench or other product to easy dissembly. I
am not sure I would mess with shims which goes against what the manual might
say (sheer laziness on my part). I would not replace the sterndrive for such
a minor fix. The ball gears may last a little longer if greased on the
surface a little.You can test water flow (see manual). I would wait till
winter to start this unless the boat is inoperable. The job takes about an
hour - ordering the parts is where the delay is. TK
