Apologies for my bluntness here, but if you can't tell me anything about it then don't waste my time not telling me about it! I've got 42 years (and going) on my ORIGINAL tilt -- I hardly call that a bad design.

I'm not at liberty to send any illustrations at this point since its in the middle of being patented.

Do you have an illustration on how this would be done? I'm curious, sounds like a great idea, for future problems down the road that might pop up with the old system.

The stringer outdrives were made by the Omc Corp. and used in evinrude, johnson sterndrive boats as well as Thompson and others. They have a direct drive electric motor with a worm gear and oil bath clutch pack for tilting the outdive. The clutch packs are no longer available and the design was tough on the motor, especially at around 100.00 for just the motor. The motor was also close to the flor of the boat which induced moisture buildup. My system would eliminate the need for the clutch pack and reduce the stress put on the motor for longer motor life. And relocate the motor higher for less moisture buildup.

When you say solution, what problem are you solving? And which boats
