Been there done that Doug with the transom plug. Have a useless cell phone to prove it. It was in my pocket as I jumped in the water to put the plug in. Thanks for the info on the spedo.

Hi Justin, welcome to the list.  Nice boat!  To get the speedometer working, you'll need a pitot - there's none on your transom.  VDO brand seems to match the original equipment.  Check for the tube that runs from the pitot to the speedometer.  Of course, someone might have removed the old pitot because the gauge itself was borked, but you have to start somewhere.

Also - don't forget to put in the transom plug!  A standard part available at any marine shop.  Happy boating.
