Sadly,

A) Almost all pre-67 OMC Sterndrive parts (4-bolt tops caps) are
harder to find parts for, but this is particularly true for all of the:

B) The 1962 - 1968, 2-stroke V-4, 480, 488, 490, DU-Series, which were
90-percent based on their 2-stroke V-4, 75, 85 and 90 hp Outboard
brothers & sisters. In fact, the majority of the third-party (Seloc
and Clymer) manuals don't cover them.

The best advice I can give owners of these models is to acquire an
original Parts Manual and always search ALL sources by OMC part
number. Since many of the parts are shared with OMC outboards it
doesn't hurt to acquire those part manuals as well for cross-
referencing.

You never know when you'll stumble across a dealership or eBay source
that may have NOS (New Old Stock) available.

At least for now the GM/OMC engine parts are still relatively easy to
find parts for.

Hate to sound discouraging but those are the facts.
