Thank you very much for the help and ideas for my water temp problem.
I never would have thought of the water line as a possible adaption for water temp.
I got all my brass fittings and gauge this AM, to mount the sender in one of the exit lines at the thermostat housing.
On the way home I remembered that on the starboard side of my V-6 block, the drain cock was extended out about 6" from the block on a metal tube., (brass I hope). So I thought if I could incorporate a brass tee at that point for the temp probe, the reading could be more accurate. What do you think?
I notice the extension tube while doing some rewiring at the starter & solenoid, and thought maybe it was to drain past the wire loom that runs along the top edge of the oil pan on that side of the engine.
