Re: [OMC-Boats] Molding Plastic Lenses & badges

It mounted up nice and neat I'm very happy with it. I do have the aluminum collars but dont know what the gasket was made out of as mine didn't have one. I plan on using some high temp silicone to make a bed under the lens then Ill tighten it down after it sets up. I made a second lens because I chipped a chunk outta the screw socket on the bottom end of the first one when I was drilling the holes for the screws. Unfortunately I let the second one sit in the mold too long and although the lens is good it broke the mold when I took it out. $30 down the tubes. I was hopping to get 4 or 5 lenses out of it before it died. I will be trying this again in the future. I want spair lenses for the bow and rear as well as the odd shaped all around light. ----- Original Message -----
